In the village of Podhradí Odrava the river is home to only 200 people. It's a small town, which is mentioned in the guidebooks of the Czech Republic due to the fact that there is a cemetery, where they found his peace soldiers of the First World War, and was once the castle of the same name, now flooded reservoir. From the little that remains of the castle: a small fragment of the wall and dilapidated, collapsed trench, braided vines.
At the site of the castle once stood a fortified fort, which was founded in 1474. For a comfortable life, he was fit enough. Its main function was to protect the local people from the attack of the enemy armies. Fort included several residential buildings, tall towers and strong walls, enclosed by a moat. Water came from the ditch running alongside the mill.
In 1863, the castle rebuilt in neo-Gothic style, it turns into a beautiful palace with a turret on which the fluttering standard host and a luxurious main entrance. The castle was surrounded by a master's buildings, so looked more like a cozy home of the feudal lord than a fortified castle.
By the 50 th years of the last century, the castle was in a terrible state, no one was before him the case. He was killed almost instantly a large mass of water.
And if the castle is no more, the beautiful cemetery with memorials and ancient crosses, which are called to repent preserved. Since prisoners of war are buried in the cemetery of different faiths, it can be seen on the tombs and Christian emblems, crosses and Muslim.
