One of the architectural highlights of Kaliningrad is a pedestrian drawbridge across the river Pregolya, part of the complex "Fish Village". The opening of the bridge was dedicated to the 750th anniversary of the city in July 2005. The basis for the steel bridge support trёhprolёtnogo destroyed during the Second World War the Imperial Koenigsberg bridge (Kaiser-Brücke). The author of the project of the bridge was made by architect Alexander Bashin.
Jubilee bridge between October and Epronovskuyu street, has a length of 70 meters and a width of 6 meters. The average span bridge, designed for the passage of small boats, rises to 24 meters, and the remaining 18, 5 meters. Reinforced concrete footbridge has a cast-iron fence with decorative patterns. In addition to the appearance of the complex "Fish Village", stylized prewar Koenigsberg, the bridge is decorated with delicate lights. Near the bridge is a nice cozy house, which has a mechanism for the bridge. To test the strength of a pedestrian bridge were driven two empty KAMAZ, each of which has a weight of eight tonnes (this is the only case of passage of vehicles on the bridge).
Around the bridge is equipped quay with park area and cozy coffee shops. In close proximity to Jubilee Bridge is a river station, a sports and entertainment center, observation tower and historic buildings. For residents of Kaliningrad pedestrian bridge is the most romantic place in the city and the shortest way from the island to the city center.
