Great Gorge Ha is located in the eastern part of the island of Crete (Municipality of Ierapetra). It is near the village of Vassiliki on the western slope of the mountain Tripti. The gorge is the fifth among the largest and most beautiful gorges in Europe and one of the best wild gorges of Crete.

The magnificent stone walls that surround the valley, have a height of 200 to 400 m. Just before the entrance there is a small waterfall, forming a small lake. Falls takes its origin from the pond, which is located slightly higher. Below it is not visible, but you can enjoy them as soon as you climb up. In the middle of the gorge is also a lot of small lakes and waterfalls. Toward the end of the gorge is the largest waterfall of Crete, its height is 215 m.
