Abdulhasana Elshazi Mosque is located in the northern part of the city and is the main active mosques not only of the Hurghada, but also the adjacent settlements, so it is often referred to as "Central". The mosque was named after a local preacher Abdulhasana Elshazi who lived here 600 years ago and is famous for his virtue and learning.
Construction of the mosque was completed in 1968 at the opening ceremony attended by his own President of Egypt.
Thanks to its unusual architecture, the mosque attracts many tourists. Snow-white building is decorated with ornate carvings, made in Arabic style. The temple is quite high. The most impressive part of the mosque is its forty-meter minarets, which can be seen, while in twenty kilometers from the temple. The total width of the structures is about 20 meters. But even with such impressive size of the mosque in Hurghada is not always able to accommodate all the parishioners who gathered for prayer. Therefore, in the courtyard next to the mosque were built more peculiar gazebo designed for the Friday prayer.
Snow-white building of the mosque specifically highlighted in the evening - a successful combination of green illumination with white walls produces an extraordinary impression.
Abdulhasana Elshazi Mosque in Hurghada is not only the biggest but also acting. That is why locals are not very excited about the unexpected visitors in his temple. In most cases, tourists have to settle for visual inspection. To get to the mosque have to be a Muslim. All the others can look at the interior of the mosque Abdulhasana Elshazi just outside the door.
