Church of Archangel Michael in the Old Town, on the upper area of Duke Stefan. Unofficially, this area is called Bellavista, since it offers scenic views of the bay. The church is surrounded by four palm trees on the square in front of the church there is a fountain and a cafe.

Construction of the church was started relatively recently - in 1883. Most of the project was designed by the famous architect Milan Karlovac, but in addition it participated in the construction of several other architects. Church of Archangel Michael was completed in 1911, the same year it was solemnly consecrated.

Church size is quite small, but it has attracted the attention of critics and tourists that their view demonstrates a mixture of several architectural styles: Byzantine, Romanesque, Gothic, and the noticeable consequences of Islamic influence.

The interior of the church no less impressive than the exterior. The church is famous for its iconostasis, made master Bilinichem, a native of Split. The main material that he used - marble of Italian origin. In the church there are also a few icons, painted by the famous Czech artist Franё Sigler.
