Museum dedicated to one of the sweetest town of Gorodets crafts was opened in 2008 on Lenin Street, in the museum district. The museum is located in a merchant stick manor, built in 1906 for parohodchika, hlebotorgovtsa, Old Believer, and the famous benefactor Gorodetsky - Stepan Yakovlevich Tryapkina. After the death of a merchant, the house with modern elements belonged I.Ya.Petelinu.

Tour of the museum starts with Gorodetsky stick section stories of fishing, that is, from the 18th century, when the region is actively developing the grain trade, and greatly influenced by the Nizhny Novgorod Fair. The second exhibition room occupied History Artel "Red Pryanichnikov" with the hereditary masters Bakhareva and Shcherbakov, transformed later GORPIShhEKOMBINAT, who in 1978 released a printed gingerbread called "Gorodetsky souvenir". In the third hall exhibited products have modern production "Gorodetsky bread" and "Gorodetsky Gingerbread", and talks about the history of gingerbread case in other cities and countries. The museum presents a variety of carved gingerbread boards for the manufacture of baking, the invention which is so proud of the indigenous people, as the birthplace of the printing stick is just Gorodets.
