Tanks in El Jadida - is one of the most interesting and most visited tourist destinations in the city. Tanks are not far from the mosque at the entrance to the walled medina.

The history of the attractions began in 1741 originally on this site was built by the Portuguese military arsenal, and later remade in his war room meetings. But it soon became clear that the long siege of the citadel without fresh water simply can not do. Therefore, after some time the hall was taken reservoir, the so-called tank, where the Portuguese were stored reserves of fresh water.
