Minorite Church in Eger in the central square of the city - Istvan Dobo Square is recognized as one of the most beautiful baroque churches, not only in Hungary, but throughout Central Europe and is a unique monument of architecture and history of the state. The church was built in 1773 the Order of the Franciscans, Minorites and consecrated in honor of St. Anthony of Padua.
Minorite Church Eger is the best example of the then dominant architectural style: a dynamic facade is decorated with two bell tower with a clock that three times a day announce chime city: eleven, fifteen and eighteen hours. In the temple you can see the end of the sixteenth century frescoes and magnificent statue of St. Anthony.
