Reserve Qumran is located on the northwestern shore of the Dead Sea, where in the middle of the twentieth century, archaeologists have found ancient biblical scrolls, two thousand years have lain in remote caves. This discovery caused a sensation in the scientific world and influenced the study of the history of Judaism and Christianity.

On display are presented tourists ruins of the ancient settlement of the Second Temple (130 BC. E.): Round catchment tank, next to which were built two rectangular pond and accommodations, as well as two ceramic furnace. Some time later (about 100 BC. E.) The area of settlement was expanded: there were erected two-and three-story buildings and created a complex system of reservoirs connected by channels. Water is supplied by aqueduct from the Wadi Qumran, where the dam was built, to retain water during winter rains. Among the buildings are not detected bedrooms; they apparently served as the nearby caves and tents.
