Ten kilometers south of the capital of Chuvashia is Kugesi village, where the workshop of folk crafts and a museum of national art embroidery "Wonderful embroidery - Paha tere".

A unique museum dedicated to the ancient folk art, opened in July 2009 at the workshop "Paha tere", dealing with art crafts in 1923. The main fund of the museum is a collection of costumes, hats, wedding curtains, coats, belts, napkins and other products, unique designs embroidered Chuvash craftswomen. The vintage ornament elements retained signs of the runic alphabet, symbols play an important role in religious ceremonies.

The works of world famous brand "Paha tere" Chuvash embroidered ornaments made from the 1920s, is a cultural and historical heritage of Chuvashia. The museum presents historical documents and photographs telling about the development of the national fishing to this day. In one of the halls of the museum presents the work of young designers, has performed on modern equipment, and modern suites with national embroidery.
