The history of the Cathedral of the Resurrection, like many other Russian monasteries, has a tradition . Bright Sunday afternoon at Sheksna Beloozero sailed in Moscow merchant with the goods . Suddenly, among the day quickly darkened and merchant boat ran aground item . That phenomenon merchant was very impressed and began to pray . Shortly before his eyes there was an amazing picture: located next to the mountain, completely covered by forest, it has become like a fire, and the valley from the mountain began to emanate rays of glare that seemed to indicate the correct path . The boat had gone aground and swam to the fiery mountain, soon disappeared phenomenon . The merchant was shocked and went up the mountain . His eyes appeared a magnificent view: covered with dense forest in the lowlands, the river meandered extraordinary zigzags, and toward the east stretched silver ribbon of the river Sheksna .
