A former summer residence of the former royal palace Mrigadayyavan at the present time is a tourist attraction. The second of its name is Phra Ratchanivet Marukkhathayyavan. It was founded by the decree of the king Vadzhiravudha or Rama VI, as a place to relax from state affairs. After his death in 1925 the palace was empty and was restored by the order of the present King Bhumibol Adulyadej only in 1965.

King Rama VI himself designed the main room of the palace, which consists of 16 multiple teak columns and corridors. Construction lasted from 1923 to 1924 under the supervision of the Italian architect Ercole Manfredi. Mrigadayyavan largely copies the Western style of architecture: it high ceilings, moldings and more than 1080 concrete columns. This is quite typical of royal buildings of the time since the reign of Rama V, Thailand royals were brought from abroad the best masters of their craft.

In general, the palace is a 16 carved wooden pavilions, divided into three groups located by the sea on the beach of Bang Kra.
The first group, called Samoson Sevakamatayya is an area for meetings and negotiations, as well as office space. The second group is Bisansagara private quarters of the king. There is a bedroom, bathroom, dressing room and office, where at night the king wrote poetry. The third group of buildings Samudabiman - the inner area of the palace, where it was forbidden to show to all men, except the king. There are apartments of Queen Indrasakdi Sachi.

Mrigadayyavan known as the Palace of Love and Hope, as it is lived here Indrasakdi Queen Sachi being pregnant, and the king Vadzhiravudh took care of his wife and invested much hope in the birth of a son, an heir. Unfortunately, the queen had a miscarriage. Later, she gave birth to a daughter, her husband, Princess Bedzharatanu, but on the same day she died.
