Located in the heart of Burgos Cathedral is one of the most beautiful and majestic Gothic temple buildings, not only in Spain but throughout Europe. Its construction was started July 20, 1221 by King Ferdinand III. Built on the site of an old Romanesque basilica, the cathedral must be the main temple of the kingdom of Castile.
