Drama Theatre, located in the city of Burgas, is one of the most famous in the country. Today it bears the name of Adriana Boudevska - eminent Bulgarian actress and pioneer of professional drama theater in Bulgaria, who lived in the XIX-XX centuries.
Performing arts in Burgas began to develop in the last quarter of the XIX century, when the local teachers showed on stage performances "Izgubena Stanca" I. Blyskova, "Vlad Lovchanski" T. Ikonomov and "Mnogostradalna Genoveva" D. Voinikov. "Teachers' House" has not ceased to exist after the Liberation, delighting their audience with new performances and productions. In 1900, a large conference room in the building of the Standing Committee was converted into a living room with a massive five-meter stage. As a result, the development of cultural life in 1914, the city authorities had decided to set up in the city of subsidized permanent theater.
Because of the wars - the Balkan and the First World War - the activities of the theater for some time has been stopped. It resumed again in 1919. For a rich, almost a century of history in this place worked many talented actors, directors and other artists.
In 2011 the building was carried out large-scale reconstruction. Today, the Drama Theatre in Burgas - a complex, equipped in accordance with modern requirements, which houses two halls: a large, designed for 298 seats, and small (Chamber Stage) - 105 seats.
