Bristol Industrial Museum introduces visitors to the history of the industry -Transportation, automotive, printing and aviation.
The museum is located on two floors in a former hangar of the port. The transport section of the museum presents a variety of bicycles, motorcycles, buses and cars. Since Bristol is now - the center of the British aircraft industry, an important place in the exhibition devoted to planes and helicopters. But Bristol is also one of the most important ports - and a great place in the museum deals with the history of shipbuilding and port equipment. In particular, the external exposure is represented by a sample of working steam port crane, manufactured in 1878.
The hall dedicated to the printing industry, operating samples exhibited printing machines and printing equipment. They are printed museum booklets, tickets and so on.
A separate exposition is devoted to the history of the slave trade and the role of the port of Bristol in the African slave trade.
In 2006, the Industrial Museum was closed for renovation and opened in 2011 under the title "Hangar M» (M Shed).
