The memorial complex "Brest Fortress-Hero" and its constituent Museum of Brest Fortress - a monument to the courageous defense of the Belarusian people from the Nazi invaders and the most memorable memorial to World War II, not only in Belarus, but also in all countries of the former Soviet Union.

The memorial complex was built in 1969-71. It was created by the best sculptors of the country A.Kibalnikov, A.Bembel, V.Bobyl, architects - V.Korol, V.Volchek, V.Zankovich, Yu.Kazakov, O.Stahovich, G.Sysoev.
