Brest city recreation park named after May 1 - favorite vacation spot of inhabitants of all ages and gender. Recently, the park celebrated its 100th anniversary. It was built by Russian soldiers Libava garrison of Brest-Litovsk for free citizens. Two years before the landmark date park named after May 1 has been closed for renovation and opened to the day of his 100th birthday.

Originally the park took only 4 hectares. Now it is the largest city park in Brest. It has an area exceeding 20 hectares. The park has collected good Dendrological collection includes both traditional Brest types of trees and shrubs, as well as rare species brought and planted in the park from other places. Trees in the park are placed with great taste and perfectly groomed, so the park has a very scenic view at any time of the year.

There are several ponds in the park.
