Batak Dam - is the eponymous resort in the western part of the Rhodope Mountains, 8 kilometers from Batak and 24 km from Velingrad. Reservoir is the third largest artificial reservoir in Bulgaria.

The resort itself is located in the ski town of Tsigov Charco, near the shore of the reservoir. The average height - about 1 kilometer above sea level. Until the mark of 1 kilometer of the climate can be attributed to transitional-continental, in the mountain and the alpine zone climate has a pronounced mountainous character. The snow cover in the winter is delayed for 2-5 months, which makes it an ideal ski resort Batak.

Batak Dam is famous for experienced anglers for its excellent catch. The resort is located very close to Gholam Syutka (altitude - 2186 meters), one of the peaks of the Rhodope. At the top of the track noticeably steeper, can be reached by towing "cymbal" lift.
