Vimanmek Palace - the world's largest building, built of pink yew without a single nail. All designs have a wooden dowels. The building previously was on the island of Sichang, but in 1901 by royal command was transported to its present location in Bangkok - Dusit park.

In the palace of King Rama V was living with his large family. Later he moved to the Royal Palace and stayed here to live his wife. In 1935, the palace was deserted and gradually fell into disrepair until 1982 does not start the restoration. Today it houses a museum of unique items that belonged to the royal family.

In the palace of more than 80 rooms - rooms for audiences, concert hall premises. It contains the first light bulb in Thailand, a huge cast iron bath with the boiler, porcelain, furniture, hunting trophies.

Near the palace is the Throne Room Vinmanek Aphisekdusit where a museum of traditional handicrafts, the Royal Museum of the carriages, the Museum of the royal portraits of the Chakri Dynasty, the Museum of old clothes and fabrics and the Photography Museum.
