The museum was founded in 1874 and is the largest in Southeast Asia collection of works of art and archaeological finds. Here you can get acquainted in detail the history and culture of Thailand.

The National Museum occupies several buildings: Vangna Palace, built for the brother of King Rama I; Red House XVIII century, previously served as the palace of the princess and Su Sudarak Phuttaysavan temple, built specifically for the storage of a Buddha statue Sihing.
