Tezepir Mosque - the largest mosque of Baku and one of the most significant architectural structures, which determine the appearance of the city. Once at the site of the iconic building was homely one-storey mosque. Construction Tazapir mosque was started in 1905 by the architect Ziverbay Ahmedbekova under the patronage patron Nabat Khanum Ashurbekova. Construction was suspended several times, which was related to the termination of funding as well as the death of patron. Soon, however, the construction work continued, led by the son of Nabat Khanum Ashurbekova. In 1914, the mosque was built.

The mosque acted only three years. In 1917, during the October Revolution it was closed. At various times, the mosque was used as a cinema and a barn, and only since 1943 and today it functions as a mosque. On the territory of the building is Tezepir Administration of Muslims of the Caucasus.

The interior of the mosque area of ​​1400 square meters. m is decorated with patterns of the Azerbaijani school of painting and rare specimens of oriental ornaments. Regarding mikhrab domes and then they are made of marble.
