Aarhus - one of the ancient cities, situated on the bay in the eastern Jutland. Today, AGF is the cultural center of the country, in the city center focused a lot of its attractions - ancient churches, museums and ancient houses. Of particular interest to tourists is the Museum of Fine Arts - one of the largest art museums in Northern Europe.

The museum building is a modern ten-storey building in the form of a cube with a glass roof iris gallery, the total area of ​​buildings is 17,000 sq. M. The official opening of the museum took place on April 8, 2004.

Visitors to the gallery represented a great opportunity to see the magnificent collection of paintings, sculptures, graphic works. Exposition of the museum devoted to the works of painters and sculptors of the Danish Golden Age (1800 - 1850 years), Modernism (1900 - 1960 years). The museum presents the work of contemporary artists, including those working in the genre of creative experimentation. The symbol and pride of the museum became one of such works - a huge five-meter sculpture of a boy sitting on his haunches, the author - Ron Mueck, established in 1999.

It is especially interesting to visit the exhibition "Your Rainbow Panorama", which is on the roof of the building and consists of glass of all colors. The author of the wonderful panorama of the project was a modern Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson. Walking along this circle, you enjoy panoramic views of the city through the stained glass and see the city in blue, red, green and other colors.
