Memorial-tourist complex "Scythian camp" today - one of the most interesting historical sites in Zaporozhye, located on the island of Khortytsya.

Many years ago on the island of Khortytsya was a large number of mounds, about 30. The oldest of these mounds were piled in the 2-3 millennium BC. Many of these mounds was divided into six major groups, and these groups are located on the Scythian way. Scythian path crosses the island Khortytsya middle: starts from Naumova beams, and ends with the flooded part of the island.

"Scythian camp" was named the fifth group of mounds, they were at the highest point of the island Khortytsya, about 59 meters above the river Dnieper. The fifth group is the only group of mounds, which was restored and it is assumed that at this point our ancestors buried rich relatives and prayed for the repose of their gods.

From the beginning, there have only three of the mound, which survived until our days. But archaeologists working in this memorial and tourist complex, put in order the five mounds. One of them was poured in the place where previously held studies, two mounds appeared instead of the two previously destroyed and two were made as models. As planned by the historians of the following two mound it is scheduled to make a stylized sanctuary of the ancient god of war Ares, and a Cossack tower.

"Scythian camp" is very well known not only for its historical heritage, but also by the beautiful view, which opens with this famous place. Local residents believe that this place is a kind of energy source. Many people who have visited this place, later claimed that began to feel much better, and some of them were cured of the disease.
