"House of the other" is a museum of science fiction, utopia and extraordinary cases. Now he is also considered to be non-profit foundation and functioning as a public museum and as a specialized research center. It was originally located in an apartment of three rooms and only planned to make it a museum. In 1989 it was decided to open it in a renovated old prison, in a historic building which was built in 1806 and is located in the city center.

The archives of the museum contains about 70,000 documents related to science fiction or utopia (books, toys, etc.), including some very old (16th century) and unique things. The museum's collections are used to or iconographic research (literature, history of ideas, design, etc.). Here you can find even action figures acclaimed works of "Star Wars" - because it best described in detail the possible appearance of the aliens, and the life of different civilizations of the universe. Here you can see the portraits of world-famous fiction - from Jules Verne and HG Wells to modern authors acknowledge. Their works are also included in the collection "a friend's house."

In parallel, the museum organizes each year several temporary exhibitions dedicated to the main themes of science fiction (the city of the future space missions). Trade shows are diverse and organized free, in order to attract a wide audience.
