St. Nicholas Church is located on the territory of St. Nicholas Monastery Solbinskogo.

Name Christian St. Nicholas is known all over the world. However, there is no land, where he was revered with awe and reverence, as in Russia. And there, perhaps, in our country, a man who has not heard the name of this saint of God, did not know about the miracles he performed, soon intercession and assistance in difficult circumstances. He is the closest, warmest, most dear saint of the Russian Orthodox Church.

The first wooden church in the monastery was dedicated to Nicholas pleaser. It was built in the XV century. Over time, the church was burned by the Poles. In the 11th year of the XVIII century it was decided to build a new church, also wooden, with a chapel in the name Barbara.

In 1804, a church in honor of St. Nicholas once again turned into a dilapidated building, and it was decided in the Refectory room Assumption Church built a chapel in the name of Saint Nicholas. These religious items were moved and the iconostasis of the wooden church.

September 13, 2003, the day of celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of St. Nicholas Solbinskogo convent, has been made laying the new building of the church of Saint Nicholas, and at the same time a solemn ceremony of consecration of the main chapel of the Assumption Church, as well as the chapel of the Beheading of John the Baptist in the same church. Also on this day in the Liturgy of the prioress was elevated to the rank of abbess.
