Tent Church of St. Martinian is part of the Ferapontov Monastery. It was built in 1641. The porch was added in the middle of the XIX century. The temple was erected over the burial of Reverend Martinian - the second founder of the Ferapontov Monastery - at the southern wall of the Nativity Cathedral. Reverend Martinian of Belozersk (born Michael) was born in 1370 in the town of Berezniki, near the Kirillov Monastery. Martinian, is in perfect obedience to the teacher, became eager to imitate him.
