One of the unique geological sites of the Volgograd region, located on the right bank of the Volga River, between the villages of Mountain and Mountain Proleyka Balıklı, has been named the Alexander crest. Plot earth cars with displaced rocks, representing the scientific value, has a relatively small area (about sixteen hectares). Geological natural monument was created as a result of local tectonic activity with periodic earthquakes within 40-60 million years.
The name is unique to the Volga crest comes from the name of the emperor-reformer Alexander II, in whose honor was named and the nearby Alexander Cossack village, later renamed Suvodskuyu. Archaeological excavation areas were first produced in 1885 by Russian geologist and paleontologist Alexei Petrovich Pavlov. Interesting from a scientific point of view is the only ridge in the Volga region, where the thickness of the earth's crust can be traced to the annals of tens of millions of years.
In addition to the archaeological interest of the Alexander yellow mountain ridge attracts tourists spectacular panoramas and a small lake (inside the crest), complementing the beautiful scenery terrain. The depth of the "failure", where a lake is about two hundred meters. It grows wild rose, elm, hawthorn, and is located on the slopes of nesting songbirds.
