Shrine of St. Euphrosyne of Polotsk - a church, notable primarily by the fact that it was built in a record-short time: in just one year. In the early 19th century it was decided to build the church cemetery of Vilnius. May 9, 1937, Archbishop of Polotsk and Vilna Smaragd blessed the beginning of the construction of the temple. Money for construction were collected from voluntary donations of parishioners, residents and patrons. Among the contributors was voluntary and well-known merchant Tikhon Zaitsev.
