Ca 'da Mosto - one of the palaces of Venice, located in the Cannaregio quarter. It was built in the 13th century in the then popular Veneto-Byzantine style with its high arches and narrow recognizable capitals and is now considered the oldest building, erected on the banks of the Grand Canal.

The first owner of the house was a merchant - then it was a simple one-story building. In the early 16th century it was attached to the second floor, and in the 19th century - the third. House got its name after the famous Venetian traveler Alvise Kadam, who was born here in 1432, the year. Da Mosto family owned the palace up to 1603, the year when one of its representatives, Chiara da Mosto, bequeathed the house to his nephew, who was wearing a different name.

From the 16th to the 18th century in the Ca 'da Mosto housed the famous hotel «Albergo Leon Bianco» - «Hotel White Lion," which in 1769-m and 1775 m respectively during his stay in Venice, stop Holy Roman Emperor Empire Joseph II.
