Neo-Gothic building of the New Town Hall was built in 1872-1883 years by the architect Friedrich Schmidt. The symmetrical facade overlooks the Ringstrasse - Vienna's Boulevard Ring. On top of the 98-meter-high central tower is a statue of a medieval knight in armor, which became one of the symbols of Vienna. The New Town Hall parliament meets in Vienna.
