Cathedral of St. Stephen, located in the heart of the city, a remarkable monument of the Austrian late Gothic. Its construction began in 1137, but the fires have caused great damage to the Romanesque building, and in 1359 began construction of the current building. During the Second World War, the cathedral was heavily damaged, but, thanks to the efforts of all the Austrian people have been safely recovered.

"Gigantic gate" with an elegant carved portal and two identical Pagan towers preserved from the Romanesque basilica. The interior of the church is decorated with sculptures and stained glass windows. The department installed in the main nave, decorated with portraits of the four Fathers of the Church. The sculptor portrayed himself, looks out from the "window" under the stairs of the department. In the crypt under the main altar lie the urns containing the remains of some members of the imperial Habsburg dynasty.
