Varazdin Town Hall

City Hall in the city of Varazdin is located right in the historic center. This stone building has given urban residents Juraj Brandenburg in December 1523. From the moment the building has become a true center that housed the local authorities and were held almost every major city events.

Even in those days the space inside the hall was realized in Gothic style. This is indicated by the remains of a Gothic portal, preserved in some parts of the facade. The main tower, and now adorn clock. In 1587 the Town Hall undergoes renovation, led by the municipal judge Juraj Fleischmann. Later, for the alteration of the building took Giovanni da Como. Currently, the structure is located on Freedom Square. Near the town hall survived several houses that once belonged to artisans, merchants and other citizens of Varazdin.
