Hotel Galiani is a historical monument in the city center at the intersection of Pushkin and Volodarsky. The hotel building is one of the most magnificent stone buildings of Tver, in the style of classicism. The brick walls of the building are plastered and facade decoration and wall socket are made of white stone.

In 1859, here from August to December lived FM Dostoevsky after returning from military service in Semipalatinsk and finished the manuscript of "Villages Stepanchikovo," "Uncle's dream", "Notes from the House of the Dead."
