Castle Hill, located in the heart of the Norwegian town of Tonsberg, is a large hill where King Haakon Hokonson built a castle with a royal castle, monastery and hospital. The city walls of stone, after many centuries look sprouting from the rock.

In 1503, despite its inaccessibility, Bastion was attacked and was destroyed by the Swedes. Now by leaving only ruins. The only reminder of past greatness is restored in 1888 semnadtsatimetrovaya tower, rising on a cliff overlooking the magnificent view of the city surroundings. On the wall at the entrance to the tower engraved with the initials of the three Norwegian kings.

To visitors were able to present the appearance of a medieval castle, between the ruins and the tower is its layout bronze, and the ruins are plaques with historical stories in English.
