Church of the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary - one of the few churches in the Polish city of Szczecin, which preserved Baroque furniture. The church is located on the outskirts of the city, on the left bank of the Oder River, north of the Old City of Szczecin.
The first church at the site, which was then called Stoltsin village was founded in the thirteenth century. In the fifteenth century the church was rebuilt in the Gothic style. The following changes in the appearance of the temple were made in the twenties of the eighteenth century when the nave was added to the transept in the church tower floors were replaced, the very same building was plastered.
The church was destroyed during the Second World War, and in 1945 was handed over to the Roman Catholic parish church of the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In the fifties, the church roof was replaced, and later built the sacristy.
At present, interest in the church is the Baroque altar of 1727 with statues of angels, the figure of Moses and St. John the Baptist. Here are the pictures of "The Last Supper", "The Crucifixion", "Descent from the Cross" and "The Entombment." Baroque pulpit was made in the twenties of the eighteenth century. The canopy is supported by the Department of Sculpture of an angel. On the balustrade staircase placed statues of the apostles. Also in the interior of the church you can see the exquisite Baroque candlestick.
In 1982 restoration works were carried out, during which the roof was repaired and the Gothic portal.
