The open air museum is located 15 km from Graz and covers an area of over 60 hectares. It collected about 90 different vintage farmhouses, barns, granaries, mills and other typical samples of rural architecture in Austria.
Tyrolean farm of Alpbach traces its history to 1660, the estate of Western Styria is dated XVI century, the bell tower of Shallendurfa goes back more than 300 years.
Every day at the Museum hosts a variety of events for curious tourists. You can see how people umelitsy tat and try his hand in this hard work. You can participate in singing folk songs or listen to stories. And in the last Sunday of September each year a day of adventure, ending fun picnic.
