Memorial Apartment Museum Isaak Brodsky, a unique person, a gifted teacher, artist and collector, is located in the historic center of St. Petersburg at the Arts Square in a house designed by Rossi and L.Benua was opened in 1949. From 1924 to 1939, the last 15 years of his life, I. Brodsky lived and worked in the studio and apartment.
Isaak Brodsky, the beloved disciple of Ilya Repin, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, with equal success painted landscapes and portraits. Several of his works were devoted to the subject of war and the events of the revolution. Brodsky pupils were outstanding Russian artists - YM Neprintsev, AI Laktionov, PP Belousov VM Oreshnikov.
