Holy Trinity Cathedral, and Church of the Holy Trinity - an architectural monument, built in the XVII century in baroque style in Slonim.
In the XVI century on the site of today's Holy Trinity Church was a wooden Orthodox church, consecrated in the name of the Holy Trinity. The church was particularly revered icon of St. Anthony of the Caves. In 1596, an Orthodox church was abolished and dismantled.
At the site of Trinity Church in 1645 it was built a stone church in the Baroque style. Very soon, when it was organized by the Bernardine. Apart from its religious significance, the church was built as a defensive structure and, as evidenced by an octagonal tower with loopholes. For the purposes of the prompt adaptation of the population of Slonim to the Catholic faith, it was decided to celebrate the feast in the church Anthony of Padua in place of the Orthodox feast of St. Anthony of the Caves.
Bernardine monastery in Slonim was abolished in 1864. The buildings of the monastery and the church handed over to the Orthodox Church. After the reconstruction of the temple, he was again sanctified as an Orthodox Holy Trinity Church. There was also renewed Orthodox feast in honor of St. Anthony of the Caves.
In the 1920s, when the elephant was on the territory of Poland, the church has once again become a Catholic. During the Nazi occupation resumed service in the Orthodox church. With the arrival of Soviet troops in Slonim, the church was closed.
