Serpukhov Kremlin was unlike other similar facilities in Russia, as it was not built of wood and kirpisa, as usual, and made of stone. The Kremlin walls before the war were well preserved, but was dismantled and used in 1934 in the construction of several stations of the Moscow metro. To this day preserved small fragments of the eastern section of the wall.

The Kremlin is the heart of the Trinity Cathedral, which is a "octagon on the quadrangle" with built later belfry. The temple was built on the site of an older building in 1696 at the expense of Andronicus Monastery Archimandrite Theodotia. The church was capitally reconstructed in 1837-1841 in the spirit of classicism - the refectory was attached to St. Nicholas and Demetrius chapels, redesigned decor. Since 1985, it houses a branch of the Serpukhov History Museum.
