Y.L.Runeberga House Museum is located in a part of town which is decorated in the Empire style, and low wooden houses form a square, according to the classical plan of the city. It was here that he lived 25 years of the greatest Finnish-Swedish poet Johan Ludvig Runeberg. In the next building exhibited a collection of sculptures poet's son - known sculptor Walter Runeberg.
