Ancient Beehive Tomb is located in the west of Pomorie, very close to the highway Burgas-Pomorie. It is a monument of architecture and building art of the country.

The tomb dates back to II-III centuries in ancient times it served as a mausoleum of a wealthy family in Anhialo. It also carried out various magic pagan rituals. The crypt is divided into a corridor (dromos), whose length is 22 meters, and a round chamber, the diameter of which does not exceed 11, 6 meters and the height of the tomb - five and a half meters. Masonry is made of bricks and stones. Over the body of the camera resembles a mushroom with a "pipe" in the middle.

In the center there is a hollow body of a column with a diameter of more than three meters, and up it gradually expanded, becoming one with the outer wall of the tomb. The inner wall of the hollow column before had twisted stone stairs leading to the surface of the tomb. The walls of the mound arranged in a circle five niches - there were boxes in which were buried remains of the deceased. Presumably, once adorned the walls of the tomb of a rich painted, but from it there were only traces of green plaster.

Such facilities in the entire Balkan Peninsula more than was found. A method of laying a unique architecture and impressive performance truly perfect. Architects often come here from other countries, to try to solve the mystery of this ancient dome of the mausoleum.
