Vladimir Vysotsky fame extends far beyond the former Soviet republics. A number of cities in which the composer, performer and actor ever visited a concert or performance, as immortalized this memorable fact of its history a plaque or monument to Vysotsky. Not spared this kind of cultural and historical tradition and in Montenegro, where Vladimir Semenovich visited twice in 1974 on the set of the film, and in 1975 his visit to Montenegro was associated with a tour of the Taganka Theater. It is worth noting that in the 70 years of the twentieth century was still a Yugoslav Podgorica Podgorica.
Monument to Vladimir Vysotsky was inaugurated in 2004. It is situated by the river Moraca, next are two bridge - Moscow and the Millennium. At the opening of the monument was attended by Nikita Vysotsky, the son of the singer and Miomir Mugoshin, Mayor of Podgorica.
The author of five-meter sculpture - Alexander Taratynov, which, incidentally, specially commissioned by the Montenegrin authorities in Podgorica created a monument to Pushkin. The artist depicted Vysotsky with a guitar in his hands, without which, perhaps, it is impossible to imagine.
In a memorable composition on closer examination can be read in two languages carved inscription, which is part of the great poems of Vladimir Vysotsky, the poet is dedicated to Montenegro. Of all the text for the monument was chosen quatrain best reveals the attitude of Vladimir Semenovich to the Montenegrin land:
I have a little birthday,
Rusty I have two roots ...
Sorry, Montenegro did not
