Millennium Bridge (Millennium) was built and opened in Podgorica in early July 2005. July 13 in Montenegro, just celebrated Statehood Day, and the bridge became a kind of gift to all citizens.

Cost grand suspension bridge cost the city budget of 7 million euros. Author of the project - Mladlen Ulichevich, who is a professor of civil engineering. The length of the bridge - 140 meters (from one end to the other the length is 173 meters), width - 24 meters, and the height of the pylon above the road - almost 60 meters; also have been involved in the construction of the cables 12 and 24 of the counterweight.

This unusual and in his own unique bridge has not only a decorative function. In practical terms, it connects the central part of Podgorica, namely Boulevard of Ivan Crnojevic, a new city street - July 13, and passes over the river Moraca.

Design Millennium Bridge marks the entrance to a small conservative Montenegro in the XXI century, which stands on top of technological progress. Most conveniently fit into the overall appearance of the city, and since its opening has become deservedly popular tourist destination.

In the vicinity of the Millennium Bridge are also two more attractions of Podgorica: the bridge Moscow-Podgorica (pedestrian) and the monument to the Soviet poet, composer, and actor Vladimir Vysotsky.
