Dominican Church - Roman Catholic Church of St. Dominic, one of the oldest churches in Plock. The history of the church began in 1225, when the Dominicans arrived in Plock. On the orders of the Duke Konrad I Mazowiecki for the Dominican church was built, which was consecrated in 1234 by Bishop Gunther. The first written mention of the church dates back to the year 1237. Later it was built the Dominican monastery and bell tower. In the fifteenth century, the city suffered a terrible fire that destroyed the building of the church and monastery. At the end of the sixteenth century, the church was rebuilt in the late Gothic style. In the eighteenth century, Mikhail Jerzy Poniatowski built a parsonage. In 1804, the monks were expelled, after which the building was opened School.
The church was restored only in 1964, the Catholic community. There have also been restored parsonage and belfry. Inside the church there are four wooden confessionals, the pulpit, made in the late Baroque style with symbols of the evangelists, the altar in the Rococo style.
Currently, the church is a parish for the inhabitants of Plock. Parish pastor leads Tadeusz Lebkovsky.
