It is the first village after the south exit, located in the side of Olonets. The village Megrega kindly welcomes all visitors who come to see the wooden church Frolov Lavra.

The church was built in 1613 to commemorate the victory of the Russian army in the war with Sweden. Construction of the temple took place on the ancient route leading from Novgorod in the northern lands, located 12 km from the town of Olonets. The name of the church was given in honor of St. Frol and Laurus, which is especially revered as guardians of the peasants not only livestock, but also the entire peasant economy. The church is located on a hill, it is almost not visible at a distance of nearby roads, as all her kind of locked trees pine forest, which still is the cemetery.

The typical appearance of the Novgorod Church especially brightly and clearly expressed the distinctive features of the famous stone church, named in honor of Theodore, presented in the form of intersecting gables, the entrance to the porch, located on the north side, as well as a tent with eight, is located above the dining room bathroom. Initially, the temple was a simple building, chopped of logs, but in the 19th century wooden building was covered with boards. Bathroom Refectory Church of Frol and Lavr log cabins adjacent to the main church, located on the west side. Login having a spacious porch leading to the dining room, located on the north side, which is especially rare to see in the Karelian Republic.

As for all space-planning decisions of the church, the building has a biaxial composition. The horizontal axis of the building is formed sufficiently extended capacity rectangular altar and the refectory of the temple. Enfilade layout of the building has a structure, and the width of the altar is much less than that of the rest of the premises.

According to the constructive solutions can be said that the refectory room and the altar completely covered with a gable roof, and the Temple of the building, which is slightly higher than the refectory and the altar, there vosmiskatnoe cover with four triangular pediments. Right above the center of vosmiskatnogo cover is a small octagon with the tumbled down, which is crowned with a slender tent having a chapter. On the northern front, just below the gable roof supported by pillars, carved window. Ceilings in the church and the plank laid on beams. The temple part has two windows, located on different levels, one on the south, and the other on the north side. Windows mowing. Tent rafter, roof slegovye, and all the coverage - iron.

Decorative elements are completely absent. Deck the walls made "in Oblomov" and the outer part of them completely clad with boards.

Inside, a unique monument of ancient wooden architecture was preserved only rarely found tyablovy three-tiered iconostasis, which dates from the early 17th century. Beautiful thin thread of the old iconostasis properly superimposed on the red tyablo, which is a wooden block altar screen used to set the icon. The rest of the interior decoration almost survived.
