Pitiunt - so the ancient city of antiquity, once located on Cape Pitsunda Abkhazia. Even written mention of Pitiunt dated back to II century BC in the annals of Artemidorus of Ephesus, and in fact they may not be the first! According to the researchers the Black Sea, its name from the ancient city was growing around the coast of this place pine forests. By the way, the name of the Abkhazian sounds like Amzara that the translation is - "Pine Grove".

Pitsundsky complex now part of the Historical-Architectural Reserve "Great Pitiunt."
