One of the most beautiful architectural structures in the park Mecsek - Gate. If you go up the street Janos Hunyadi, you'll see them on the right side of the road behind the church of St. Paul. Arch buildings made of natural stone was built by the municipality of Pécs in 1936 the project Koshegi Gyula. In 2001, the gates have been reconstructed.

  Gates resemble a small castle. It has entrance, arcades and ramparts. This building was conceived as a symbolic entrance to the Mecsek Park, so it is called the Gate of the Mecsek. From the Mecsek Gate is the road climbing serpentine mountain top. This is the starting point for many hiking trails.
