Ethnographic Museum Janus Pannonius branch opened its permanent exhibition in 1996. The exhibition provides insight into the traditional culture of lamb (the region between the northern coast of the west bank of the Drava and Danube) from the beginning of the 20th century until 1950. The ethnic makeup of the county is really unique, so the exhibits are interesting and varied: wood, colorful costumes, pottery, embroidery and pieces of furniture, the peoples inhabiting this region. In addition, the exhibition introduces visitors to the folk traditions of Hungarian villages.
With the help of photos, furniture and tools first room gives visitors an idea of the various nationalities and their methods of housing construction. The second hall introduces the art of weaving and embroidery, as well as with the traditional national costumes. In the third room there is an exhibition of pottery. The fourth room is devoted to the most famous carnival in the region - busójárás.
