Early Christian burial in the city of Pecs in southern Pannonia in Hungary are proof of the presence in the area of Christian communities in the fourth century. Until today, we heard the mausoleum and the remains of the chapel in the cemetery, which is a unique heritage of the early Christian community. This is one of the most important necropolis outside Italy. Attraction is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2000.
Burial chambers are located on two levels. The frescoes depicting saints Peter and Paul, found on the masonry, are unique in Central Europe. Of particular value has discovered an old fresco, made according to the canons of the early Christian, the Madonna. Since the building continued to be used without changing the architecture, to the end of the sixteenth century, it is possible to keep it in its original form until today over 1200 years.
