Church of St. Francis and Victor, located in the district of Ostrava pear, is not experiencing the best of times: a flood in 1997 significantly damaged the walls and foundation of the building. Limited funding from the City Council, does not allow for repair, in which the church is in need. Therefore, local parishioners engage in fundraising and organizing various cultural activities that allow to collect the remaining amount for the restoration of the old church. For example, some local activists involved in conducting annual spring festival dedicated to the local church.

Church of St. Francis and Victor was built in Grushovaya in 1886-1892 years on the original design of Heinrich von Ferstelya and Max the Swede. In 1893, the church was first opened for parishioners.

Hrusovsky church has an unusual history, which is proud to tell you of any local resident. Catholic life since the founding of the church here was performed 8 priests. After the death of one of them, it was decided not to use the bells ringing for the joyous proclamation events. The bells of the church of St. Francis and Victor are now hit only in the event of death of any of the parishioners.

The church still has its original central altar, made in the late XIX century, and several side altars. The flood damaged the statue of Our Lady of Lourdes, but other sculptures of the church remained unharmed.

Benches for the parishioners were made back in 1892 and since then has not changed.
